Briley Harris

Singer, producer, musician, actor & Zoney Sound co-chief

Growing up in the Northern Maryland waterfront-town of Havre de Grace, Briley Harris’s penchant for music was apparent from the age of 2. Beginning on drums then piano, Briley honed his gifts at his family church, playing full time at age 6. By high school, Briley amassed thousands of playing hours, many accolades and multiple awards from numerous local & state organizations, placing first in competitions like NAACP’s ACT-SO & Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s Talent Hunt. Influenced by The Neptunes, Kanye West, Fred Hammond, Sade, Carlos Santana, & others, Briley discovered a deep passion for production and songwriting. This love led to a streak of notable singles in college, including S.H.E., Charmed, Rewind, Ballerina, and the Soulection-featured fan favorite Thursday. While attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for Music Technology, Briley would meet his creative partner and former dorm mate, Zoney Sound co-founder Leon “Neon” June, formally establishing the company in 2017. A creative collective and recording label, Zoney Sound’s “Dream, Create, Live” mantra is brought to life through a series of educational showcases, nteractive workshops, independent releases, and community events including its flagship jam session/pop-up shop series, ShedTalk. Briley’s diverse skill set has led to production and touring work with various artists and creators including Kelela, Clipse, Tommy Richman, Jay Versace, Alex Vaughn, trumpeter Brandon Woody, and Canadian artist K-Riz. A two-time veteran of NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts series, Briley’s debut album – MIDNIGHT – was released in 2020.
